The 3 Biggest Artificial Intelligence (AI) Trends in 2023

#artificialintelligence

In any roundup of 2022, Elon Musk's Optimus robot waving its mechanical arms in the air is likely to be featured prominently. Musk boldly claimed that we could see a "fundamental transformation of civilization" with such advances in robotics. While his vision may take years to unfold, we are now at a juncture where we will see rapid deployment and advancement of artificial intelligence. The future is waving hello, and 2023 promises to be exciting in AI. Despite record numbers of low unemployment, companies continue to find it challenging to find employees -- especially people with the right skill sets.

The 5 Biggest Artificial Intelligence (AI) Trends In 2023 - AI Summary

#artificialintelligence

Today, the technology most commonly used to achieve AI is machine learning – advanced software algorithms designed to carry out one specific task, such as answering questions, translating languages or navigating a journey – and become increasingly good at it as they are exposed to more and more data. This can be as simple as predictive text suggestions reducing the amount of typing needed to search or write emails to apps that enable us to create sophisticated visualizations and reports with a click of a mouse. While this is often true, a growing branch of the science is dedicated to building AI tools and applications that can mimic one of the most uniquely human of all skill sets – creativity. The technology has achieved mainstream exposure thanks to experiments such as the famous deepfaked Tom Cruise videos and the Metaphysic act, which took America's Got Talent by storm this year. If we, the general public, don't trust AI or understand how it makes decisions, we simply won't feel safe handing over our information, and the whole thing falls apart.

The 7 Biggest Artificial Intelligence (AI) Trends In 2022

In 2022, we will see artificial intelligence continue along the path to becoming the most transformative technology humanity has ever developed. According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, its impact will be even greater than that of fire or electricity on our development as a species. This may seem like a very ambitious claim, but considering it is already being used to help us tackle climate change, explore space, and develop treatments for cancer, the potential is clearly there. The full scale of the impact that giving machines the ability to make decisions – and therefore enable decision-making to take place far more quickly and accurately than could ever be done by humans – is very difficult to conceive right now. But one thing we can be certain of is that in 2022 breakthroughs and new developments will continue to push the boundaries of what's possible.

If we look at the last couple of years, we have seen a significant leap in the way Artificial Intelligence is becoming an integral part of many organizations' business plans. Already the journey of digital transformation has catapulted thanks to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and because of the pandemic situation, we saw significant innovation in the technology front, which will reach new heights in the year 2022 and further. As strongly claimed by Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google Inc, the impact of artificial intelligence will be far greater than fire and electricity on humanity. Well, it might sound a bit exaggerated but what it implies is that the year 2022 is going to see new developments in this space and it will constantly create new benchmarks. It is a looming fear that machines or robots will eventually replace the human workforce and may even render certain roles obsolete or redundant.
